RAS AL KHAIMAH, October 10, 2023 – State-run RAK Gas has signed a contract with China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation to provide FEED studies for a new pipeline in the UAE, Upstream Online reported on Sunday.

The proposed 140-kilometre pipeline will run from the existing Taweelah Fujairah pipeline to Ras Al Khaimah with a connection to the Sajaa gas storage facility in Sharjah.

The new infrastructure is part of RAK Gas’ drive to increase gas transport capacity and connectivity in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

The FEED studies will prepare for the project’s EPC phase.

“It is one of our strategic projects and stands as a testament to our ongoing efforts to energise communities,” said Chris Wood, CEO of RAK Gas.
