The new date for both rounds has been set for September 27 this year. Round 3.2, comprising 37 blocks mostly in the Burgos Basin and the Tampico-Misantla-Veracruz area, was originally scheduled for July 25. The Round 3.3 tender for unconventional blocks in Tamaulipas was initially scheduled for September 5.
“With this decision, the CNH will consolidate a tender that takes advantage of the interactions among conventional and unconventional resources in order to have access to gas potential of the cluster located in the Burgos area,” the commision said in a statement on Friday, after unanimously agreeing to postpone the rounds.
