DOF Subsea awarded FPSO works in Gabon

LIBREVILLE, March 25, 2022 – DOF Subsea has signed a contract with Houston-based E&P entity Vaalco Energy to reconfigure an FPSO to an FSO on the Etame field in Gabon, the Norwegian subsea operating company announced on Thursday.
Work is expected to begin in July and finish in September 2022.
The subsea reconfiguration is the first subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowline work for the Skandi Constructor, which was upgraded in 2021 with a 250-tonne active heave compensation crane and two heavy-duty, work-class hydraulic remotely operated underwater vehicles.
The vessel is currently performing work in Trinidad and Tobago.
Cost of the contract was not disclosed.
