Emas wins contracts worth $24 million

SINGAPORE, July 7, 2015 – Offshore services provider Emas Offshore announced on Monday that it signed contracts totalling $24 million for services in West Africa and the Gulf of Thailand.
The company was awarded one contract in West Africa for an anchor handling tug and supply vessel. The company will also supply services involving sea transportation including towing, anchor handling, rigs and floating structures.
Emas Energy, a subsidiary of the well services division of Ezra Holding, was awarded two contracts in the Gulf of Thailand worth $12 million. The first contract requires the company to provide a platform supply vessel, while the second covers the provision of an anchor handling tug and supply vessel.
“We have a distinct advantage of being able to deploy vessels globally. I am delighted to see that our strategy of focusing our efforts in West Africa where offshore activities remain healthy is paying off,” Jon Dunstan, CEO EMAS Offshore, stated in a company release on Monday.
The company release did not specify the national oil companies that are to receive the vessels in the three contracts. The duration of the three contracts is about 1.1 years, and the charters will begin in the fourth quarter of 2015.
