EnerMech wins subsea services contract for Guyana project
GEORGETOWN, January 13, 2026 – EnerMech has secured a subsea pre-commissioning services contract from Saipem for the Whiptail development offshore Guyana, the company said on Monday.
The contract includes subsea pre-commissioning work such as flooding, cleaning and hydrotesting of risers and flowlines, as well as umbilical monitoring operations from both an offshore construction vessel and an FPSO. It marks EnerMech’s first involvement on the Whiptail project and its fifth subsea campaign offshore Guyana.
To meet increasing demand in the region, EnerMech is establishing a new operational base in Georgetown and expanding its local equipment capacity with remote flooding units and subsea test pumps.
“This latest award for our Energy Solutions team is another important milestone in our Guyana growth story,” EnerMech CEO Charles Davison Jr. said. “It underscores the trust that leading offshore contractors like Saipem continue to place in our people, technology, and track record.”
