Equinor, Sonangol in Angola MoU

LUANDA, June 27, 2018 – Equinor has signed an MoU with Angola’s NOC Sonangol to invest in E&P projects in the country, local and international media reported on Wednesday.
“Equinor intends to return to being an operating company in hydrocarbons concessions and we want to do this together to guarantee new activity and investments in Angola’s petroleum sector,” Sonangol head Carlos Saturnino said, cited by daily Jornal de Angola.
According to the Bernama news agency, the agreement focused on oil exploration in blocks 5/06 and 18/15 as well as in the Congo, Kwanza and Benguela basins.
