LUANDA, October 2, 2023 – Etu Energias has become the operator of the CON 6 onshore concession in Angola, the local E&P company announced on Thursday.

The company will take over as operator of the licence from partner Mineral One.

The block is located on the Lower Congo Basin and is now operated by Etu Energia with a 43.75% stake alongside partners Mineral One with a 43.75% stake and Prodoil with the remaining 12.5% stake.

The company is currently exploring the CON 6 concession, with first oil expected by 2026.

“Etu Energias will take advantage of the fact that it operates adjacent onshore and offshore blocks and its accumulated experience – both from a scientific and operational point of view – to guarantee the creation of unique synergies and produce efficiently,” said Edson R. Dos Santos, head of Etu Energias.

Etu Energias operates Block 2/05, associations FS-FST, CON 1 and CON 6 and holds interest in blocks 3/05, 3/05 A, 17/06 and 14/14K.
