ExxonMobil Guyana block sees two finds

GEORGETOWN, July 29, 2020 – The ExxonMobil-operated Stabroek block in Guyana has seen two recent finds, US independent Hess reported on Wednesday.

Hess, a partner in the block, reported the double find made at the offshore Yellowtail field, where drilling of the Yellowtail-2 well was recently completed.

“The well identified two additional high-quality reservoirs, one adjacent to, and the other below the Yellowtail field, further demonstrating the world-class quality of this basin,” the company said.

Drilling at the block was paused earlier this year due to restrictions put in place during the Covid-19 pandemic, but has since resumed.
