Fire breaks out at Pemex facility

A compressor station owned by Pemex was engulfed in flames following an explosion on Wednesday morning.

Through its Twitter account, the Mexican NOC said that the incident was caused by a leak from a high-pressure gas line at its Tamaulipas-3 station and that workers at the facility had immediately followed emergency protocol, resulting in the fire’s rapid containment.

No injuries were reported.
