Flintstone provides Jubilee FPSO mooring

ACCRA, May 2, 2018 – Mitsui Ocean Development and Engineering has awarded Flintstone Technology a mooring system contract for Tullow Oil’s Kwame Nkrumah FPSO offshore Ghana, local media reported Tuesday.
The in-line tensioning and pull-through connection mooring system will allow the FPSO to be converted to a spread mooring configuration.
“We are very pleased to see our technology being used to provide a solution to what is a complex and challenging situation with the existing mooring arrangement. We look forward to working with Modec and Tullow on the project,” said Andrew Clayson, Flintstone’s managing director.
A week-long pause is planned for the end of 2018 to rotate the FPSO to its permanent heading and install the final spread mooring anchoring system.
