Iran

TEHRAN, September 6, 2017 – France’s Sofregaz has signed a contract to work with Iran’s Sanat Sazeh Samin and the National Iranian Oil Company on flare gas recovery at the South Pars gasfield, local media reported on Wednesday.

The project, which will focus on a refinery at the field, is valued at EUR 42 million, state news outlet Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

The contract will run for 30 months and could serve as the basis for similar work at other South Pars refineries, the report added.

Iranian officials have previously said that flaring at the field’s gas refineries is projected to end by 2019.
