Under the contract, GAC Fujairah will provide ship supply services, spare parts handling and various other logistics services for KOTC vessels calling at Fujairah, Khor Fakkan and Singapore.
GAC Fujairah anticipates handling 450 jobs per year, and more as KOTC undertakes a fleet expansion.
The value and duration of the contract were not made public. The deal marks the third husbandry contract with KOTC for GAC Fujairah, a UAE-based shipping and logistics services company.
With a fleet of 30 ships, KOTC undertakes the global delivery of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s cargoes. The company is in the process of adding eight tankers: one VLCC, four medium-range tankers and three VLGCs.
