Indian Oil to build new west coast refinery at Paradip
India On November 29, B. Ashok announced that Indian Oil’s 300,000-barrel-per-day refinery at Paradip would start to be commissioned from March 2015 onwards. Construction will start at the same time at the refinery’s 84,000-barrel-per-day Indmax fluid catalytic cracking unit, set to produce propylene and ethylene. Last Friday, Indian Oil director for planning and business development Debasis Sen also announced a $3.2-billion petrochemicals complex to be constructed next to the refinery.
