Eni Indonesia won the East Ganal block and Lion Energy was announced as the winner of the East Seram block. The Citarum block was awarded to a consortium of Cogen Nusantara Energi and Green World Nusantara. Talisman West Bengara teamed up with Mitsui Oil Exploration South Sumatra to win the Southeast Jambi work area.
The East Papua block did not receive any bids, and the ministry said it would be re-tendered in another bidding round.
“This award expands Eni’s position and upstream activities in the East Kalimantan’s Kutei Basin, which is one of the most promising hydrocarbon provinces in Indonesia, and in the continuously growing gas and LNG market of the Asia Pacific region,” Eni said in a statement.
