Indonesia to seal $18.8 bln in energy, trade deals in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, January 8, 2020 – Indonesian President Joko Widodo will oversee the signing of energy and trade deals worth a total of USD 18.8 billion on a coming trip to Abu Dhabi, Indonesian officials said on Tuesday.

 

Around 12 deals are to be signed this weekend. They include an agreement by Pertamina to purchase LPG from ADNOC, an investment by Mubadala Investment Company in Pertamina’s Balikpapan refinery expansion and a deal under which ADNOC will co-operate on a refinery upgrade in Balongan.

In the area of power generation, Indonesian state utility PLN plans to sign a power purchase agreement with renewables player <a href='https://staging.theenergyyear.com/companies-institutions/masdar/’>Masdar for a 145-MW floating PV power plant in West Java.
