Invictus Energy ups field potential in Zimbabwe

HARARE, July 5, 2022 – Invictus Energy has almost tripled the estimated resources of its Mukuyu play on the Cabora Bassa basin in Zimbabwe, the Australian IOC announced today.
2D seismic studies evaluated by independent energy consultant ERCE upped estimated reserves on the field to 566 bcm (20 tcf) of gas and 4.3 billion boe of gas condensate.
Previous studies done in 2019 found 232 bcm (8.2 tcf) and 2.6 billion boe of gas condensate.
Invictus Energy holds an 80% share of the Cabora Bassa project.
“The Mukuyu prospect has grown significantly in its scale and now represents one of the largest conventional exploration targets globally,” said Scott Macmillan, managing director of Invictus Energy.
