Lightsource BP receives $533-mln finance deal

Lightsource BP has closed a USD 533-million multi-project finance deal that will see construction of a 135-MW solar project near Happy, Arkansas, Europe’s largest solar developer announced yesterday.

The Conway Solar project will commence construction in March 2020. EPCI works will be provided by Gibson Technical Services.

Commercial operations are set to begin in 2023. The development will deliver energy to power more than 21,400 homes.

The project is part of 480 MW planned for development.

Financing of the initiative was secured through HSBC Bank, ING Capital, Intesa Sanpaolo, NatWest, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered Bank.
