Iran’s POGC to develop Kish gasfield

TEHRAN, January 17, 2019 – Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), a subsidiary of NOC National Iranian Oil Company, has been selected to develop phases two and three of the Kish gasfield, local media reported on Wednesday.

“Proposals for the development of the field were studied by the oil ministry, and POGC was assigned to develop the field to produce on completion 85 mcm [3 bcf] of natural gas per day,” Mohammad Meshkinfam, the managing director of POGC, said in comments cited by daily Financial Tribune.

With estimated reserves of 1.87 tcm (66 tcf) of gas and 1 billion boe of gas condensate, Kish is Iran’s second-largest gasfield.
