The work, which will be carried out by Petrofac’s in-country engineering and production services team, carries a value of USD 35 million. The contract is effective immediately.
“A team of more than 30 training professionals and technical specialists from Petrofac will be embedded within KOC’s operations to deliver skills and competency-based learning and development services at the frontline of production operations,” engineering and production services Vice-President Karim Osseiran said in comments on the deal.
The team will study and tweak KOC’s so-called competency services and develop training programmes aimed at raising the technical capabilities of operations and maintenance staff.
