Petrofac-led group signs EPC contract in Algeria

ALGIERS, August 4, 2022 – Petrofac and its local partner Genie Civil et Batiment have been awarded a USD 300-million EPC contract by NOC Sonatrach for the Tinrhert EPC2 project in Algeria, the UK-based engineering firm announced today.

The scope of the development includes provision of a central processing facility with inlet separation and decarbonisation units. The new assets will be tied to existing separation and boosting facilities at the site.

The Tinrhert EPC2 project is located in Alrar, approximately 1,500 kilometres from Algiers.

Petrofac was awarded the EPC contract for Tinrhert EPC1 project in 2018, which included building the existing facilities, commissioning and performance testing.
