Norway

OSLO, November 13, 2015 – Lundin Petroleum has spudded its 6407/10-4 exploration well targeting around 15 million barrels of oil equivalent in the Norwegian Sea, the Swedish independent announced Friday.

The targeted total depth of well 6407/10-4 at the Lorry prospect on Lundin’s operated production licence 700 in the northern part of the Froya High area is 3,104 metres, set to take around 60 days. It will be drilled with semi-submersible rig Island Innovator and is set to intersect the Upper Jurassic sandstone interval.

Lundin has a 40-percent stake in the licence through local arm Lundin Norway, with upstream operators Bayerngas Norge, GDF Suez E&P Norge (part of the Engie Group) and VNG Norge each assuming 20 percent.

Lorry’s estimated gross unrisked prospective resources are 151 million barrels of oil equivalent.
