Saudi Aramco extends Seadrill deal

Saudi Aramco has awarded Seadrill a three-year contract extension for one of its jack-up rigs, the Bermuda-headquartered driller said in a press release on Thursday.

The deal, which adds some USD 112.5 million to Seadrill’s contract backlog, covers the AOD III unit and will remain in effect through December 2019. The agreement follows similar extensions for the AOD I and AOD II rigs, which were first committed to work for Saudi Aramco in 2013.
