Sonangol receives refinery proposals

LUANDA, February 1, 2018 – Angola’s Sonangol has received 63 investment proposals targeting its refining sector, the NOC announced on Thursday.
The company plans to build refineries in Lobito and Cabinda, among other projects designed to reduce its dependence on imports of refined products, the statement added.
The news came as Sonangol said that it expects to award a rare public tender for refined fuels, which closed Wednesday, towards the middle of February.
