Norwegian engineering company Technip Norway has been awarded contracts for pipe laying at Statoil’s Johan Sverdrup and Oseberg Vestflanken 2 projects for a value of USD 46 million.
Engineering, procurement and construction of the platform at Oseberg Vestflanken 2, as well as transportation, will be done by Dutch engineering and construction company Hereema Fabrication Group. Its contract is worth USD 92 million.
Norway’s oilfield services company Aibel will provide engineering, procurement, construction and installation on the Oseberg Field centre and ready the platform to receive stream from field under a contract worth USD 23 million.
Norwegian subsea contractor Ocean Installer was awarded a USD 23-million contract to conduct marine construction and installation at both projects, as well as for Statoil’s Gina Grog venture.
The Oseberg Vestflanken 2 project will consist of an unmanned wellhead platform with 10 well slots over two existing wells. The product will be transported by pipeline to the Oseberg Field Centre. The wells will be controlled remotely from this structure. The field is expected to produce 110 million boe.
The Johan Sverdrup project consists of building a field centre and is expected to come on line at the end of 2019. The project is expected to provide 25% of Norway’s petroleum production and have a capacity of 550,000-650,000 bopd.
The company’s third project, the Gina Krog, is a field that is believed to contain 225 million barrels of oil and gas. The project will see wells drilled with a mobile jack-up drilling rig. Its new platform will rest on the seabed.
