
TechnipFMC bags EPCI contract offshore Norway

OSLO, January 14, 2022 – TechnipFMC has signed a contract for integrated EPCI works with Norwegian petroleum company Equinor for the Smørbukk Nord development offshore Norway, the Houston-based energy technology provider announced on Thursday.
The works cover a high-pressure, high-temperature subsea production system and associated equipment for a brownfield tie-back to the Åsgard field.
Installation will be carried out using TechnipFMC’s battery hybrid vessel to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The award follows a FEED contract finished by TechnipFMC in 2021.
Cost of the contract and estimated timeline were not disclosed.
