TechnipFMC wins Total Angola contract

LUANDA, July 2, 2018 – Total E&P Angola has awarded TechnipFMC an EPC contract for the Zinia Phase 2 project, the company announced Monday.

The contract includes nine subsea tree units as well as wellheads, subsea control systems, connection systems and associated equipment. TechnipFMC will also provide support services for the assembly, test, mobilisation and installation.

“We are excited to be selected by Total for another of their important developments offshore Angola, illustrating our long-term, collaborative relationship. This award showcases TechnipFMC’s position as the market and technology leader for subsea equipment and services globally, and also demonstrates our commitment to the Angolan market,” Hallvard Hasselknippe, the president of TechnipFMC’s subsea business, said.

In late June, Subsea7 won an EPIC contract for the Zinia Phase 2 project.

The Zinia field, part of the Pazflor development, is located in Block 17 some 150 kilometres offshore Angola in water depths of up to 1,200 metres. The second phase of the field’s development includes gas-lift and water-injection modifications to the Pazflor FPSO, while the subsea network needs to be upgraded with additional water injection and non-insulated gas-lift lines and subsea tie-ins.
