The Ikike project would add 60,000 bopd to the super-major’s output, Reuters reported.
“There is a huge potential in Nigeria, it is probably the most prolific country in west Africa in terms of oil and gas and it is time to launch new projects and we are working on many of them,” Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne said.
He added that the company plans to expand Nigeria LNG as well as moving toward a final investment decision on the 70,000-bopd deepwater Preowei project.
