Transocean inks $28 million UAE contract
ABU DHABI, October 27, 2015 – Transocean signed a new $28-million contract with Abu Dhabi-based offshore company Bunduq Oil, the offshore drilling contractor announced in its fleet status report on Monday.
This single-well contract stipulates that Transocean will provide its high-specification jack-up Constellation I to Bunduq Oil at a daily rate of $140,000. The rig will be deployed offshore the UAE beginning in April 2016.
Earlier this week, Transocean also announced it plans to delay the operation and delivery of two ultra-deepwater drilling ships to Shell.
