Tullow seeks new Ghana offshore assets

ACCRA, June 1, 2018 – Tullow Oil is interested in new oil blocks offshore Ghana, CEO Paul McDade told journalists on Thursday.
“We as a company want to consolidate our presence in Ghana after our investments in Jubilee and TEN [Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme]. We don’t want to stop there but keep growing,” McDade was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Ghana plans to award nine blocks this and next year. Three of the blocks will be auctioned in an open competitive tender, and two are to be allocated through direct negotiations. GNPC will work with a partner on one block to develop its technical capabilities. The remaining three will be awarded next year.
