UK’s KBR, Iran petchem firm sign MoU

Iran

TEHRAN, January 30, 2018 – KBR has signed an MoU with Iran’s Pardis Petrochemical Company under which the UK firm will provide technology and services at the company’s ammonia and urea complex, local media reported on Monday.

Iran’s NIPNA news portal reported that the agreement was signed on Saturday by top executives from the two companies.

Under the deal, KBR will provide services at the Pardis Petrochemical complex, aiming to improve safety protocols, raise energy efficiency, reduce corrosion and recondition the facilities.

The complex is located in Asaluyeh, a city in Iran’s hydrocarbons-rich southern coastal strip near the super-giant South Pars gasfield. NIPNA reported that the ammonia unit had previously received a process technology licence from KBR.
