USA’s Sempra signs LNG trade deal with Poland

SAN DIEGO, May 17, 2022 – Sempra has signed a heads of agreement with state-owned Polish Oil & Gas Company to deliver around 3 million tonnes of LNG from assets in the US, the LNG asset operator announced on Monday.

The 20-year agreement will see 2 million tonnes per year delivered from the company’s Cameron LNG facility in Louisiana and 1 million tonnes per year delivered from its proposed Port Arthur LNG asset in Texas.

The deal includes working towards reduction, mitigation and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions.

The Cameron LNG facility started up in 2019. Upgrade plans involve an additional LNG train with the capacity of 6.75 million tonnes per year.

The proposed Port Arthur LNG terminal will have a capacity of 13.5 million tonnes per year with three LNG storage tanks.
