Welltec inaugurates new base in Angola

LUANDA, August 16, 2023 – Welltec has streamlined its operations by inaugurating a new and improved base in Angola’s capital, the well optimisation company told The Energy Year on Wednesday.
The new facility is located in a new area at the Sonils logistics centre in Luanda where its previous base was located. It is more than three times the size of its old base of operations.
The new headquarters contains a tool maintenance area and a fully equipped lab that is five times larger than the previous one. Administration and support work has been moved from its previous off-site offices in Luanda to the new building.
Welltec has recently moved in new equipment, such as offshore containers, tool baskets, new lifting equipment and a satellite communication system to support real-time operations in the field.
The inauguration was attended by Peter Hansen, CEO of Welltec; Maximilien Hallaire, vice-president of the Africa area of Welltec; and Mathieu Wallach, sales director and general manager for Southern Africa of Welltec.
The event also included a live demonstration of the company’s completion and intervention tools.
