Wood Group bags Statoil deals
Norway ABERDEEN, June 12, 2017 – Engineering giant Wood Group on Monday announced the award of two contracts with Statoil for studies on North Sea assets.
Wood Group will look into tie-in options for Total’s Garantiana development with the Gullfaks B and Visund facilities through a topside concept study.
The company will also be carrying out a feasibility study for Statoil on its Tampen oil pipeline. This work will include the associated subsea sections, risers and topside modifications.
“The award of these two new contracts demonstrates the strong relationship we have developed with Statoil, which spans more than two decades and stretches across their global portfolio of assets,” Wood Group Chief Executive Robin Watson said in a press release.
Monday’s awards are part of the company’s May 2016 master services agreement with Statoil for support work on the Norwegian giant’s facilities, both on- and offshore.
