Wyoming moves to ban sale of electric vehicles by 2035
USA The six Republican state senators introducing the bill cited the “countless jobs” and significant revenues generated by the local hydrocarbons sector.
The legislation also cited the difficulty in recycling or disposing of the minerals used to make EV batteries.
Wyoming is the US’ eighth-largest oil-producing state and is home to around 68,000 oil and gas-related jobs.
