ADNOC signs $1.5-million drilling contract

ABU DHABI, October 10, 2022 – ADNOC has awarded a USD 1.5-million drilling contract to ADNOC Drilling to expand the UAE’s offshore production capacity, the Emirati NOC announced on Monday.

The two-year contract includes the provision of 12 jack-up rigs and two island rigs and integrated drilling services.

The move is part of ADNOC’s goal to increase production capacity to 5 million bopd by 2030.

More than 80% of the award value will be fed back into the local economy under the NOC’s In-Country Value initiative.
