ENDIAMA Mining joins the Angola Energy Leaders Summit as a Silver Sponsor
September 9, 2025The Energy Year is happy to announce that ENDIAMA Mining has joined the Angola Energy Leaders Summit as a Silver Sponsor.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Angola’s national diamond company, ENDIAMA Mining is dedicated to the exploration, development and production of Angola’s rich mineral resources, with a primary focus on the diamond market. As the market leader, the company manages a diversified portfolio of projects across the country, ranging from early-stage prospecting to operational mines.
ENDIAMA Mining is currently working in the exploration phase of two high-potential assets, namely the Oshimba and Zangamina projects, both soon moving from the prospecting to the production phase. The company is also active in the Tailings Basin of the Lunda Norte mine and is a partner in leading operations such as the Sociedade Mineira do Lulo kimberlite project.
“The country is traversed by a kimberlitic fault rich in diamonds, rare earth elements, iron, copper and many other minerals. Within the next two to three years, Angola could become the second-largest diamond producer in the world,” Pedro Galiano, general manager of ENDIAMA Mining, told The Energy Year.
Looking at the diversification of its portfolio, ENDIAMA Mining also sees growing opportunities in gold and rare earth elements with strategic exploration projects in the pipeline. It is no surprise that Angola has several underexplored areas with considerable reserves of critical and rare earth minerals, including copper, lithium, cobalt and manganese.
As ENDIAMA Mining’s operation grows, the company also places strong emphasis on following ethical and sustainable mining standards. Among their sustainable initiatives, ENDIAMA is on track to open Angola’s first green diamond mine by reprocessing a stockpile of kimberlitic tailings, reducing environmental impact while creating jobs and giving back to the local communities.
ENDIAMA Mining has made it clear that their long-term vision is to be recognised as an international benchmark for responsible mining. The company aims to use technology to reduce costs, maximise revenue and support sustainable development for years to come.
The Angola Energy Leaders Summit
Taking place on December 2 in Luanda, with the support of the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), the summit will bring together Angola’s most senior energy executives and investors.
This year’s edition carries special significance as Angola marks 50 years of independence, providing a timely opportunity for ENDIAMA Mining to highlight the mining sector’s growing contribution to Angola’s national development.
By joining as a Silver Sponsor, ENDIAMA Mining underscores its commitment to ethical, sustainable growth; community empowerment; and Angola’s position as a leading player in the global diamond and wider mining industry.
