Kuwait’s MECC awarded $113-million pipeline project
KUWAIT CITY, December 17, 2025 – Kuwait’s Mechanical Engineering & Contracting Company has secured a USD 113-million contract from Kuwait Oil Company for a key pipeline project in the country’s north, Zawya reported on Monday.
The contract involves development of the Manifolds and Group Trunk Lines project, which will transport liquids from wells to gathering centres 29, 30 and 31. MECC won the award after placing the lowest bid of KWD 34.7 million (USD 113.1 million), ahead of three other Kuwaiti firms.
Mechanical Engineering & Contracting Company is a Kuwait-based EPC contractor offering engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services across oil and gas, petrochemicals, power and infrastructure sectors. Established in 1967, the company is part of the Al Kulaib Group and operates mainly in Kuwait and the wider Gulf region.
