Lamprell lands EPC contract for UAE gas facility
DUBAI, February 16, 2026 – Lamprell has been awarded an EPC contract from Dubai Petroleum for the expansion of the Margham gas storage and processing facility in the UAE, the company said on Monday.
The project forms part of the wider Sunrise Development Programme and will support future capacity increases at the facility and facilitate the integration of renewables. Lamprell will handle EPC for civil works, pipe rack structures and associated infrastructure, and will deliver the work through its onshore division.
“Expanding our onshore EPC capability is a key pillar of Lamprell’s strategy, and this award directly supports that objective. Delivering critical energy infrastructure in the UAE strengthens our onshore portfolio, demonstrates local execution capability and positions the business for further growth in this market,” said Ian Prescott, CEO of Lamprell.

Margham is Dubai’s largest onshore gasfield. Its processing facility feeds gas to the Dubai grid and condensates to the Jebel Ali refinery. The plant is operated by Dubai Supply Authority, which handles the purchase, sale, storage and transportation of natural gas and LNG in Dubai, supplying utilities and industrial customers.
Lamprell is a UAE-based contractor offering EPCI services to the global energy sector. It has fabrication yards in Hamriyah and Jebel Ali and additional operations in Saudi Arabia and India. It supplies both the oil and gas and offshore wind sectors with onshore infrastructure, offshore modules, platforms and rigs.
