Kodiak, Baker Hughes strike gas turbine deal for US data centres

THE WOODLANDS, July 10, 2026 – Kodiak Gas Services has signed a multi-year agreement with Baker Hughes for the supply of generation equipment to support the buildout of infrastructure to power data centres in the US, the companies said on Wednesday.

Under an initial order, Baker Hughes will deliver gas turbines and power generators for approximately 1 GW of capacity by 2030, with subsequent deliveries expected to bring the total to 1.8 GW over time.

The systems will support behind-the-meter projects in markets where rising electricity demand and grid constraints are increasing the need for rapidly deployable power generation infrastructure. The agreement also covers technical training, spare parts and potential long-term equipment services.
