Explosion hits Texas oil pipeline
SAN ANTONIO, October 16, 2015 – A large explosion and fire have been reported at an oil pipeline in the town of Encinal, Texas.
The explosion took place early on Friday morning at the Lewis Energy-operated pipeline, located around 200 kilometres southwest of San Antonio.
There have been no reports of injuries or statements on the cause of the blast.
Eyewitness photos showed a massive fire near the town. A representative for Lewis Energy Group told local media that efforts are underway to extinguish the fire.
Lewis Energy is an upstream company with operations in South Texas.
