CABSHIP honours president of Namibia with The Thinker sculpture

In a symbolic gesture, CABSHIP presented President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia the iconic Angolan sculpture The Thinker.

CABSHIP, a leading Angolan company specialising in materials management and logistics, paid tribute to the President of the Republic of Namibia, Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, by presenting her with the iconic sculpture The Thinker — a symbol of wisdom and reflection rooted in Angolan culture.

The symbolic gesture was made by CABSHIP’s founder and CEO, João Filipe, on the sidelines of the 2025 US-Africa Business Summit, held in Luanda from June 22-25.

“It was an honour to present The Thinker to Her Excellency, President Nandi-Ndaitwah. This symbol embodies the shared values of vision, wisdom and unity that we believe are essential for Africa’s progress. CABSHIP looks forward to exploring opportunities to collaborate with Namibia in building resilient and integrated logistics solutions across the region,” said Filipe.

This exchange underscores CABSHIP’s commitment to fostering stronger ties with Namibia and promoting regional growth through cross-border collaboration in logistics, energy and infrastructure development.

At the summit – which included 2,700 delegates and 12 African heads of state – CABSHIP also participated in the pivotal panel “Empowering Change: Expanding African-Led Participation in Global Value Chains,” where Filipe emphasized SME inclusion, digital transformation and logistics development as keys to unlocking Africa’s potential.

He further shared that CABSHIP has worked with 781 Angolan SME suppliers in the last five years: 35% from Cabinda Province and 52% from the rest of Angola.

CABSHIP has been a trusted partner in Angola for the past 16 years, supporting critical activities in oil and gas, mining and infrastructure, with a consistent focus on safety, efficiency, innovation and local impact.
