Dubai Investments International joins the Angola Energy Leaders Summit as a Gold Sponsor
September 11, 2025The Energy Year is pleased to announce that Dubai Investments International has joined the Angola Energy Leaders Summit as a Gold Sponsor.
Dubai Investments International is a UAE-based investment group managing an international portfolio of strategic assets across the Middle East and Africa. With a big focus on real estate and infrastructure, Dubai Investments International’s flagship is the Dubai Investments Park (DIP) in Dubai, a groundbreaking 2,300-hectare integrated commercial, industrial and residential hub.
In Angola, Dubai Investments International is developing the Dubai Investments Park Angola, a unique eco-industrial project located on the northwest part of the country. Located in Barra do Dande, Bengo Province, the 2,000-hectare eco-industrial zone is designed to replicate the success of DIP in the UAE, creating a fully integrated city that combines residential, commercial, industrial and leisure facilities. The revolutionary project aims to be a gateway for industrial, commercial, residential and tourism industries in Angola.
“Our goal is to replicate our successful Dubai model internationally, and Angola offers the perfect conditions,” Jaafar Lakkis, general director of Dubai Investments International, told The Energy Year.
DIP Angola is expected to attract more than USD 1 billion in total investment, with Dubai Investments building core infrastructure and third-party investors developing factories, offices and residences. The second phase of the project will introduce residential buildings and a golf course with integrated villas.
Strategically located near major infrastructure, such as Sonangol’s Barra do Dande Oceanic Terminal, a smelting plant and a planned export terminal, DIP Angola is poised to become a key logistics and manufacturing hub for the region.
