Perenco is one of the main oil and gas producers in Gabon and has major operations across the world. In operation since 1992, the company is now producing across 14 markets, predominantly in mature and marginal fields. It has three onshore oil terminals and eight FSO/FPSOs. As of 2024, Perenco produces 510,000 boepd, 1.4 million tonnes per year of LNG and 45,000 tonnes per year of LPG across its operations.

In Gabon, Perenco’s highest-producing market, the company produces 120,000 boepd of oil and gas. The company’s work in the country is further set to greatly expand, with a new USD 1-billion LNG facility greenlit in 2023. The facility will have the capacity to produce 20,000 tonnes of LPG per year and 700,000 tonnes of LNG per year.

Sustainability is at the core of Perenco’s decisions. Consequently, the company is transitioning away from oil towards gas, in accordance with the energy transition strategies of the countries in which it operates. In 2024, 75% of its production is oil and 25% is gas. Perenco will continue to locally invest in gas production and the development of gas markets.
