Seplat is an indigenous integrated energy company. The company has grown since it formed in 2009 to become one of the largest independents in the country. Seplat has operations in E&P, exports and gas-to-power developments. Seplat Energy has a diversified portfolio of onshore oil and gas assets in the Niger Delta area close to existing export terminals and significant demand centres. 

History: The company was established through a partnership between Shebah Petroleum Development Company and Platform Petroleum Joint Ventures.

Assets: The company has working interests in the following blocks: OML 4, OML 38, OML 41, OML 40, OML 53, OML 55 and OPL 283. It also holds midstream gas assets such as the Oben, Assa North-Ohaji South and Sapele gas processing plants. 

Strategy: Seplat intends to grow its on- and off-grid gas-to-power segments and develop renewable energy to raise electrification of the country to 90% by 2030 along with government-set targets. Seplat is dedicated to Nigeria’s energy transition and delivering accessible, affordable and reliable energy to foster socio-economic prosperity across the country.
