The contract will include power management and the installation of a fully integrated power-from-shore telecommunications systems.
“ABB’s extensive experience in offshore oil and gasfield electrification ensures high reliability and minimises life-cycle costs, while trimming the oilfields’ environmental footprint,” said ABB Process Automation division president Peter Terwiesch.
ABB is part of the ongoing development of the Nasr field, completing the its front-end engineering and design subsequent construction phases. The current extension of services will be completed by the company’s engineering series and project management arm by the close of 2016.
