Abraj Energy Services expands its regional presence

MUSCAT, February 27, 2023 – Abraj Energy Services has signed a contract with Saudi Arabian Chevron and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company for works on the Wafra oil field project in Kuwait, the Omani drilling services entity announced on Saturday.

The five-year deal will see the company build three drilling platforms and provide related services.

The Wafra development is located in the onshore Partitioned Neutral Zone in southern Kuwait.

 

Abraj Energy Services currently has a fleet of 25 drilling rigs and five well maintenance rigs.

On Wednesday the company announced plans to increase its fleet by adding 11 new drilling rigs in the next five years.

Earlier in February, Abraj Energy Services announced the listing of its shares on the Muscat Stock Exchange.
