AfrikDelta tows Egina FPSO

LAGOS, May 17, 2018 – Afrikdelta Marine (ADML) has towed and moored the Egina FPSO in Lagos Harbour, local media reported Thursday.
ADML used five Nigerian-flagged and -crewed vessels to tow and turn the FPSO under a contract from Samsung Heavy Industries.
“The operation was a culmination of significant planning and engineering that lasted over 12 months, and entailed the special simulation training of ADML’s Nigerian crew overseas to enhance their expertise,” Nigerian Tribune quoted the company as saying.
Earlier in the week, ALE announced it had completed the lifting and installation of six modules from the yard to the vessel. The company said the operation was the heaviest land-based crane lift ever.
