Angola LNG ups exports before maintenance

LUANDA, May 15, 2018 – Angola LNG (ALNG) is raising its spot market exports before a planned shutdown, international media reported Tuesday.

ALNG has issued spot market tenders for LNG cargoes that will load in May and June, ahead of July maintenance, Reuters cited sources as saying. The plant is expected to restart in early August.

“At full production, it is expected that up to 70 LNG cargoes per year may leave the Angola LNG plant. And, Angola LNG will supply 5.2 million tonnes per year of LNG, along with natural gas, propane, butane and condensate,” a spokesperson for the company said.

ALNG is a major LNG and NGLs producer in Angola founded by a consortium of Chevron, <a href='https://staging.theenergyyear.com/companies-institutions/<a href='http://staging.theenergyyear.com/companies-institutions/sonangol/’>sonangol/’>Sonangol, Total, BP and Eni.
