Arabtec unit wins Abu Dhabi oilfield contract

ABU DHABI, November 21, 2018 – Técnicas Reunidas has awarded a USD 142-million mechanical and electrical construction contract for Abu Dhabi’s Bu Hasa oilfield to Arabtec unit Target Engineering.
Arabtec Holding made the announcement in a statement released on Tuesday, saying the contract scope includes construction and expansion of the existing Bu Hasa oil pad hubs, the gas lift phase two and the produced water reinjection phase one and two.
The Bu Hasa field, operated by ADNOC Onshore, is undergoing an expansion programme that will raise its output capacity from the current level of 550,000 bopd to 650,000 bopd by 2020.
Earlier this month, Técnicas Reunidas was awarded the EPC contract for the project, with a value of at least USD 1.4 billion.
