Bahrain signals interest in Aramco IPO

Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of Bahrain, is mulling to take part in the initial public offering of Saudi Aramco shares, its CEO on Wednesday.

Speaking in Russia, Mahmood Alkooheji expressed his hopes that Mumtalakat could “play a small part in the IPO.”

Managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio, the Mumtalakat head also commented on the ongoing reform efforts in the neighbouring kingdom.

“We are very close to Saudi Arabia and all these reforms coming from Saudi Arabia will have a very positive impact on Bahrain,” he was quoted as saying.
